The George J. Barco Aquatic Center is a year-round
indoor/outdoor recreation facility. During the fall, winter and spring
seasons, patrons may swim and exercise in the heated twenty-five meter by
twenty-five yard L-Shaped six-lane pool with diving well.
During the summer, an exciting adventure water playground is
opened that includes a water slide, starburst fun center, a water dumping
pelican, zero depth entry, water geysers and a wading pool.
In addition to the water-oriented features, there are sand
volleyball courts, lounge chairs, a spacious lawn for sun bathing and a snack
bar with an outdoor eating area. Certified lifeguards and attendants are
always on hand to make your visit safe and comfortable.

Facilities
- The Pool is open daily if the temperature is above 65° degrees and there
is no lightning (MARC goes by temperature on Armstrong Channel 25)
- Appropriate swim wear must be worn
- All life preservers must be Coast Guard approved
- Sorry, no carry-in food, coolers or snorkels
- Floaties, fins, masks covering the nose and/or mouth are prohibited
- Certified lifeguards are on duty for your safety throughout the aquatic
complex
- Spacious shower rooms with coin lockers are available
- A
full service concession stand is available for your convenience
