Meet The Coaches
Aaron Rekich
Aaron started his coaching career at Battlefield High School where he taught and coached baseball for 3 years and sent two pitchers and a catcher to the MLB draft. He moved back to VA in 2010 and started coaching Track and Field at Mars High School where he won the WPIAL in 2012 and coached baseball for Saxonburg U10 where he went 12-1 in the SABA.
Aaron started playing hockey in college recreationally and then started coaching hockey in 2015 with the Pittsburgh Penguins Pens Elite Black and Lawrence County Lightning.
Aaron worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins in operations from 2013 - 2018
Aaron coached the 14U CCYHA team in 2023-2024 as head coach. He coached his third year as the Peewee head coach in 2022-2023, his second year as the Squirt head coach of the Flames in 2021-2022. In 2020-2021 as the co-head coach of the Flames, his team went
22-3-5.
Aaron is the MARC Executive Director and Head Instructor for Little Penguins.
Aaron's goal is to teach positivity, discipline, and life skills along with becoming good hockey players. The three attributes he instills in his players is have fun, work hard, and communicate.

Jeremiah Ordos
Jeremiah started his coaching career at the Keystone State Games in 2017. Jeremiah helped lead the 14U Keystone State Games Central Region to a 3-0 record to win Gold at the 2022 KSG in Pittston, PA, which was the first gold medal for the Central Region in 10 years.
Most recently, Jeremiah coached with the Meadville Bulldog varsity hockey team as a skill development and video coach for the 2023-2024 season. He will continue as an assistant coach with the team for the 24-25 season.
Jeremiah coached CCYHA as the 12U head coach in 2021-22, a co-head coach in 2020-21, and an assistant coach in 2019-20. He has also coached at the Rick Gotkin Hockey Camp at Mercyhurst University in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. He also coached at the OHL's Erie Otters Main Camp in 2021, and Jeremiah continues to make connections in order to bring world-class training and development to the Meadville area.
Jeremiah grew up learning how to skate at the MARC and played high school hockey at Cathedral Prep as an assistant captain on a Pens Cup team. Jeremiah moved to Florida to play for the University of Florida Gators ice hockey team where he served as secretary.
Jeremiah’s goal as a hockey coach is to create better hockey and better humans, which is the slogan for the 814 Hockey Academy. His coaching philosophy focuses on technical skills in a tactical environment, and he creates a fun atmosphere where players want to get to the rink and improve their game.
